In March 2005, Adamari Lopez declared that she is suffering from breast cancer. Her partner, Luis Fonsi also announced the cancellation of the International Tour for her health condition. The cancer was detected in Stage 1, hence was reversible. She underwent the surgery in 2006 and recovered successfully. Adamari actively participated in breast cancer- awareness. She worked as the spokesperson for Komen Foundation, which is known for breast cancer research.
