Andre Lange, the German bobsledder was born in 1973 on 28 June. His birthplace is Ilmenau at Bezirk. Primarily he played in the club named BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. He played for this club for 18 long years, from 1993 to 2010. He won the Winter Olympics of 2002 (4 man event). In the Winter Olympics of 2006, he again won gold. He achieved gold and silver in the later winter Olympics of 2010 (2 man and four-man events, respectively). He has achieved 14 medals in FIBT championships including, two bronzes, four silvers, and eight golds. In Bobsleigh World Cup, he won 4, 4 men, 1,2 man, and three combined men championships. He became the head of the Winter Sports Centre of Thuringian. His coach is Wolfgang Hoppe. He later worked as an assistant coach of a luge team of South Korea named Steffen Sartor.
