The Indonesian singer and musician Ari Bernardus Lasso took birth in 1973 on 17th January. He was previously the lead singer of the band Dewa 19. This band’s debut album, Kangen, was enlisted as BASF’s Best Album of the year, 1993. Later he became a drug addict and left the band. Several years of treatment helped him recover. He also quit the habit of cigarettes. Later he established himself as a solo artist, releasing his debut solo album, SendiriDulu. It was sold more than 5 lakh copies. This followed the later more successful one named, Keseimbangan. His 2004 production, Kulihat Kudengardan Kurasakan, included two songs that were later used in MengejarMatahari film. His next album was Selalu Ada. Another album, The Best of, had one of the most celebrated duets with the famous singer Bunga Citra Lestari. He has a compiled album with Yang Terbaik, released in 2012. He judged the 2nd season of The Voice Indonesia. His,1994 album with Dewa 19 was Format Masa Depan. He has also sung for the subsequent two albums of Dewa 19 named Terbaik in 1995 and Pandawa Lima in 1997. It was his mother who inspired him to become a singer.
